The author has always been a creative person, even from a young age. She wrote her first story at age seven and began the premise for the Anglorum series when she was in high school. The story originated as a collaborative project with a close friend, but after she moved overseas the novel was abandoned.
Some of the influential books in the author’s life include works by Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Arthurian Legends, Sherlock Holmes mysteries, and other epic fantasy literature. Both of the author’s parents are well-read and have degrees in literature, humanities, and education and were members of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) when she was young. From an early age she was surrounded by knights in shining armor, fairy tales, and other exciting and creative projects.
The summer after leaving a full-time position she finally got around to reading Harry Potter, and finished it in about two weeks! Enchanted by the plot and energized by the whimsy she thought, “I could do this!” and set about to revive the Anglorum story she had begun more than ten years before. The book is currently “finished” and the author has begun querying agents in search of a publisher.
In addition to writing fantasy fiction the author maintains a music blog, creates YouTube videos, and spends time with her husband and her pets. Future projects include a collaborative effort on a science-fiction series, sequels to the first Anglorum novel, a book of animal poems, a dystopian novel, a tale about Spanish mermaids, and a historical fiction series featuring young female protagonists in unique cultural settings.
